Based on the Gold Coast and supporting organisations across Queensland, Human Edge Consulting provides practical safeguarding services tailored to your environment, organisational context and legislative obligations.
Engagements can be delivered flexibly in person, by telephone or via secure virtual conferencing, according to organisational location, structure and engagement requirements. Interviews with children are ordinarily conducted in person, with any departure from this assessed individually through specialist professional judgement, prioritising the child's safety, communication needs and the integrity of the investigative process.
Services are led by Principal Consultant Jasmine Luke who brings her depth of experience working at the intersection of evidence, children, risk, law, systems and human behaviour.
Her experience includes ICARE-trained forensic interviewing of children, using specialist skills in trauma-informed engagement, developmentally appropriate communication and non-leading approaches that prioritise children's safety, minimise the risk of further harm and support them to share their experiences in their own words.
Human Edge translates that experience into organisational safeguarding landscapes. Drawing on specialist experience across child protection, complex investigations and safeguarding environments, Human Edge combines investigative rigour with practical, trauma-informed and evidence-based approaches.
Services extend from independent safeguarding reviews to complex child-safeguarding and reportable conduct investigations, organisational response support and capability development.
